There are many things one could say about the importance of worshipping God.  This article will discuss: why we worship, whom we are to worship, and how we worship.

John 4:24 says, “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” A similar passage to John 4:24 is Matthew 15:9 which says, “in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men”. John 4 informs us that there is a proper way to worship and that is with the motive of seeking accuracy and worshipping in a mode that strives for zealous fervor for the honoring of God.  Where on the other hand, Matthew 15:9 says an improper way to worship is the type of worship that seeks after the style of human based philosophies.

One preacher wrote that every 1st day of the week he’s been a Christian, he has always worshipped at least once during the week with brethren holding some form of mid-week service, as well as Sunday morning services.   All need to have motivation to seek out  those of like-precious faith to worship with, even when we are traveling.
