It has often been stated historically amid those associated with the church of Christ that, “we don’t follow the ten commandment’s today!”.  In an attempt to make frequent rebuttals to the false notion that the Old Testament is to be esteemed with “on par” adjudication status with the New Testament, many of our dearly beloved brethren have said things like “the things God put on the tablets of stone were ‘shadows’ and we don’t follow those shadows today”.
