It has been said quite often that a good leader is one who has known how to be a good follower.  Hebrews 13:7 says, “Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God”. The Hebrew writer is telling Christians to remember their leaders.  He is not saying that they are to remember just any leader.  He is not saying they are to elevate political officials or popular 1st century celebrities. Although, the community roundabout these Christians may have had certain people that received notice of the public-eye; by nature those who followed the will of God, were not always highly regarded by all in their community (Hebrews 11:35-37).
