Why Be Baptized?

There are many reasons one could give as excuses for why one chooses not to be baptized.  Nevertheless,  the Bible is very clear that baptism is a key element and important step in the process of being a Christian.

 

Acts 10:48 states, “And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to remain for some days.” Matthew 28:19 states, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...”.  From these two passages we can see that one of the reasons to be baptized is because It is a command from God.
